- Notes: signed by houdini's mother and father. With the signature of Cecilia Steiner [Weiss] on page 83 and Samuel Weiss on page 345. The volume is incomplete in its present state, beginning at page 83. It is a German volume on the laws of Saxony. A manuscript note on the front pastedown states, "This book belonged to Cecelia Steiner Weiss Mother of Houdini (Ehrich Weiss)." There is also a small signature "E Weiss" on the bottom of the front pastedown [signed in old German style]. The engraved bookplate of Houdini at the front is of the type issued after his death by his wife and inserted in various Houdini volumes. The inked stamp at the rear indicates that the volume once belonged to legendary magician Doug Henning.
