Octavo, bound in very attractive full contemporary smooth tan calf ruled in gold with large gilt central lozenge on front and back, Oxford style, with diagonal blind hashes at head and tail of spine; unsophisticated; lacking cloth ties, otherwise very beautifully preserved; ex libris Sir Martin Hyde Crawley-Boevey, 4th Baronet (1812–1862) and T.C. Boevey [one of several Thomas Crawley Boevey's] with signatures; engraved bookplate with arms of Sir Thomas Crawley Boevey (1744-1818); other ownership signatures of John Andrews (dated 1723), and the likely 20th century signature of Henry H. Gibbs; title page stained; pages ruled in red throughout; final leaf of text mounted as pastedown inside back board; 5 1/4 x 3 1/2 in.
