Partly printed Commerical Document, being a bill of sale for a female slave, Dianna, for $450. 1 page, folio; with affixed wax seal and docketed on verso. Charleston, 3 June 1851 The format of this document is uncommon. The sale is registered on a form which was purchased at a commercial retail establishment. Bills of sale are generally in manuscript and were executed for the parties involved by the local registrar or a responsbile official.
