  • Notes: Advertises an auction of 327 acres of land with a log dwelling house south of New Haven, KY, and just a few miles from Abraham Lincoln's boyhood log cabin at Knob Creek.

    "Also--At the same time and place, will be sold eight likely Negroes to-wit: 2 men, 1 woman and child, 3 girls--one about 10 years old, one about 7 years old, and one about 3 years old,--and one boy about 5 years old." None others traced in OCLC or at auction.
