(SLAVERY AND ABOLITION.) DOUGLASS, FREDERICK AND MARY B. TALBERT. Frederick Douglass Memorial Home, Anacostia, D.C.

(SLAVERY AND ABOLITION.) DOUGLASS, FREDERICK AND MARY B. TALBERT. Frederick Douglass Memorial Home, Anacostia, D.C. Rectangular souvenir of the Douglass Home, 8 x 18 inches, framed. Anacostia, circa 1920

  • Notes: An attractive photographic souvenir of Frederick Douglass' home at Anacostia. This poster shows the house in the center and oval portraits of Frederick Douglass and Mary B. Talbert on either side. Mrs. Talbert, president of the National Association of Colored Women, was responsible for the restoration and preservation of the house, which was quite literally falling apart.
