(SLAVERY AND ABOLITION.) LOUISIANA. Three legal documents: Two official bills of sale for slaves; another for 25 slaves as collateral for bank shares. Uniform folio, various pagination; excellent condition. should be seen./span Louisiana, 1834-7

  • Notes: Three interesting documents: one for the sale of a young man named Bill, aged 26; the other a sale of 25 slaves, amended to 24 because one died before the deal was concluded and another for 18 slaves used as collateral for shares in the Citizen's Bank of Louisiana. The owner admits that the slaves were not on the property they were supposed to be on, because they were working on another of his properties.
