  • Notes: Bill of sale from George W. Morris of Callaway County, MO to John H. Bryan of Boone County of "a negro woman by name Betsy aged about twenty eight . . . I warrant sound in body and a slave for life," 11 March 1833 * Bill of sale from Oliver Parker of Boone County to the same, of "a certin negro girl named Sophia aged about nineteen years, as also her two children, both boys, to witt Alexander about two years & nine months & Thomas, a child about thirteen months," 25 October 1834.
