  • Notes: These were issued as part of a series with "the nett proceeds . . . devoted to the education of Colored People in the department of the Gulf, now under the command of Maj. Gen''l Banks." Included are No. 3, "Charley, a Slave Boy from New Orleans" and No. 5, "Oh! How I love the old flag. Rebecca, a Slave Girl from New Orleans."
