  • Notes: Based on a true incident in which a Negro servant and a white servant had decided to marry. When the Negro, who belonged to the captain of a West-Indiaman, left his master's house to be baptized, he was captured and taken aboard his master's ship. Rather than be separated from his bride-to-be, he shot himself.
