- Notes: First printing, first issue, with John McLoughlin Jr. as a solo printer at 24 Beekman Street in New York City after the dissolution of Elton & Co., the publishing house owned by his father John Sr. and Robert H. Elton. The printing blocks used were those of Edward Dunigan, a New York picture book publisher for whom Robert Elton had executed many wood engravings. with -- Remarkable Story of Chicken Little. Hand-colored woodblock illustrations. 12mo, wrappers, cellotape repairs, a few images torn from wet coloring paint. Roxbury, Mass: J. G. Chandler, 1840.
