Condition: This photogravure of the Flatiron Building on a snowy day, which has a lyrical gray tonality throughout, is in excellent condition. There are two minuscule spots to the right of the building, just above the trees, and two others at the far right edge (all of which are visible in our catalogue illustration); apparently these are inherent to the print. But, there is a tiny brownish spot in the tree trunk visible upon close inspection.
The plate is trimmed to the image area and affixed to its original gray mount, which is slightly larger than the print and measures 7x3.5 inches (17.7x8.8 cm.)
Overall, a beautiful example of Stieglitz's work.
