Condition: The gilt-lettered binding of "The Artistic Side of Photography" shows light rubbing to the corners and edges and light soiling. The tail of the backstrip shows a small area of chipping to the cloth, and the head of the backstrip is worn and rubbed with creasing to the cloth, and is also age-darkened.
Internally, the front hinge on this copy is split, and the binding is loose. A couple text leaves are detached (at the first signature), and scattered text pages show age-darkening. There is a blindstamp on the title page.
The photogravures, however, are rich and clean, with only light off-setting. With many beautiful reproductions of well-known photographs by Coburn, Stieglitz, and Steichen.
