  • Notes: A scarce salesman's "dummy" copy with a frontispiece portrait of Harriet Beecher Stowe, and 18 steel-engraved portraits, including Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, Charles Sumner, William Lloyd Garrison, Ulysses S. Grant, Schuyler Colfax et al. Whoever the salesman was, he managed to get a number of subscriptions from what appear to be family members.
