(SURREALISM.) Hugnet, Georges. Une Écriture Lisible. 15 illustrations by Kurt Seligmann. Thin 4to, printed wrappers, few minor surface marks along edges; few separations between leaves; original subscription form laid in.

Most likely to Virgil Thompson as the composer and writer had a close and well-documented friendship, especially as concerning their mutual, rocky collaborations with Gertrude Stein. Thompson composed Barcarolle (A Portrait of Georges Hugnet) in 1940. This copy numbered 48 of 175, from a total edition of 225.
