(Hammersmith: Kelmscott Press, 1894) LIMITED EDITION, ONE OF 250 COPIES of an edition of 258. PRESENTATION COPY INSCRIBED BY WILLIAM MORRIS TO SYDNEY COCKERELL on the title-page. Additionally INSCRIBED BY SWINBURNE on the title. This copy is composed of sheets inspected by Morris as each one was printed with Cockerell's note to this effect on the front free endpaper. There is ONE HOLOGRAPH REVISION BY MORRIS on page 24. Inserted in the slipcase is MORRIS'S ORIGINAL DESIGN FOR THE TITLE-PAGE in ink and chalk within the printed woodcut border, and mounted in the back of the book is a sheet containing 12 ORIGINAL DRAWINGS FOR INITIALS USED IN THIS BOOK. This copy also contains MORRIS'S 9-LINE HOLOGRAPH DRAFT FOR THE COLOPHON, HIS HANDWRITTEN LIST OF PEOPLE TO RECEIVE COMPLIMENTARY COPIES, and 2 Autograph Letters Signed from Selwyn Image to Sydney Cockerell referring to the Kelmscott Chaucer and his own Greek type used in the present work.
