  • Notes: Two examples of financial paper from the early years of the Republic. Second-issue warrant #327 for $52.06 to Erasmus Jones, signed by Asa Brigham as auditor and H.C. Hudson as comptroller. 3 1/4 x 6 3/4 inches, folds, minor wear and foxing. Velasco, TX, 17 August 1836 * Fourth-issue warrant #10152 for $286.13 to John M. Dor for supplies, signed by Mark B. Lewis as acting comptroller. 2 3/4 x 5 1/2 inches; light folds, minor foxing. Houston, 29 December 1838.
