- Notes: Robert Jefferson Breckenridge was a lawyer, politician, and minister. He was an outspoken advocate of emancipation in the pro-slavery state of Maryland and openly defended the Black community there. The print was copyrighted under the name of Reverend Daniel A. Payne, later bishop of the A.M.E. and a president of Wilberforce University.
