Together, 2 volumes in one, both rubricated, with the first initial in each supplied in blue with red and green penwork decoration extending into margin. 8vo, 142x97 mm, contemporary calf over wooden boards with single catch and clasp, covers blind-tooled to design of intersecting diagonal triple fillets filled in with miscellaneous small tools, surface worming on rear cover and spine, vellum leaves from medieval Latin liturgical manuscript as pastedowns; title of the first work with blank upper margin excised and partly scored early inscriptions showing through on verso, occasional minor dampstaining along edges; cloth folding case. Early inscriptions of the Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria ad Martyres extra Muros, Trier; bookplate and stamp of the Rendel Harris Library, Selly Oak Colleges (gift of William A. Cadbury, Esq.).
