  • Notes: manuscript edition, in original binding. number 591 of 600 sets signed by the publisher and with an original manuscript sheet by thoreau from his journal tipped-in to Volume 1, in ink. The two page manuscript fragment comprises 37 lines, from Chapter 3 of Cape Cod, The Plains of Nauset, in altered form, and with several pencil corrections and additions. Borst B3.
