    The letters, "Dear Dottie," the first remarking that his record is "going great all over. If it keeps up, I think this will be the one for me. It's selling like mad"; the second on a postcard, remarking that "My new record, 'Cold, Cold Heart,' was picked number 1 by Martin Black. What a thrill!" Together 3 pages, 8vo; abrasions to verso of postcard. One with the original envelope. [New York], 8; [Montreal], 27 June 1951.


    With--Group of 9 items: Gold Florentine lighter with Bennett's face engraved on side, in small cardboard box with a slip of paper, both slip and box cover signed and inscribed by Bennett, "From Tony Bennett"; 5 unsigned photographs showing Bennett, 10x8 or smaller; two "Bennett-Tones Fan Club" buttons; and a printed invitation to a cocktail party honoring Bennett at the New York Paramount Theatre in 1951, 12mo * Richard Adler. Small archive of 15 letters and notes Signed, "R" or "R & J[erry Ross]," to Dottie Checchi, discussing his shows, John Murray Anderson's Almanac, The Pajama Game, and Damn Yankees. Together 17 pages, mostly oblong 8vo. New York or Los Angeles, 13 January 1954-5 November 1955.
