(TOYS AND GAMES.) WIND-UP MECHANICAL. Jazzbo-Jim, "The Dancer on the Roof."

IN WORKING ORDER (TOYS AND GAMES.) WIND-UP MECHANICAL. Jazzbo-Jim, "The Dancer on the Roof." Painted tin toy, consisting of a little log cabin, 3 x 3-1/2 x 5 inches, with a small tin figure with articulated limbs, in his arms he holds a banjo (separate item) in perfect working order, in the original cardboard box; the latter has a tear to one side, but is complete. Newark, N.J: Unique Art Manufacturing, 1921

  • Notes: A fine example of one of the nicer stereotypical toys of this period; "Jazzbo Jim" is actually quite charming. One winds him up, and he dances on the roof of his log cabin.
