[4] (of [6]), 723, [1] pages, including engraved additional title; lacks the two maps and leaf after letterpress title with dedication and binder''s directions. Together, 2 volumes in one. Folio, 392x248 mm, 18th-century reversed sheep panelled in blind, rebacked, hinges reinforced; varying toning and soiling with occasional mostly minor stains, scattered clean tears without text loss, first work has dampstain at top of map and plan, hole from oxidized rust in N2 and 4C1 affecting a few letters, and small hole in plate facing page 78 minimally affecting image, second work has browning on plates, inner half of letterpress title, and some text leaves, double-page folding plate between pages 200 and 201 creased and partly separated at folds, plate between pages 318 and 319 bound upside down, blank outer margins roughly trimmed on plate between pages 568 and 569.   • Notes: Narratives of the earliest Dutch East India Company missions to China, published as part of John Ogilby''s series of travel atlases of the world: the first title is one of 2 1673 "second" editions of the 1669 English version; the second work is the first edition in English. Though credited to Ogilby, the translations were presumably commissioned rather than done by him.
