Two letters, the first with numerous amusing sketches including a self-portrait. 20 October; 25 October E4,000/6,000 20 October. 6 pages on 3 sheets. An illustrated letter written on ruled paper. Since she has nothing to say she draws pictures of her surroundings. There are 5 sketches on 3 pages, with a caption for each one. One is a largesketch of two men. Another is a fat man standing nearby. On the next page is a sketch of a girl who looks a little bit like her, and on thenext page a girl that looks like one of her friends, and finally a self-portrait. Next to the self-portrait she has written that she is much prettier in real life. After the illustrations she continues in her normal letterwriting, talking about school, how much she loves him asking him about his plans, etc. 25 October. 6 pages on 3 sheets. Covers many subjects, including school, his health and jealousy over an ex-girlfriend. She hopes he got money to cover his medical costs, still concerned about his diagnosis. Tells him she went to see the movies Ship of Fools & the Ipcress File with her father. She identified with all the characters because they all had problems. She missed the Southeast Texas State Fair but she didn't have anyone to gowith. Writes that she is concerned that Maryann had begun writing to him and warns him that she has ulterior motives. She ends by teasing him about his jealousy of one of her teachers and commenting on a jobopportunity.
