(UNITED MOTOR TRUCKS)
Company salesman's album with 41 photographs presenting "The United Line" of utilitarian automobiles, manufactured in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Including an array of enhanced photographs highlighting the gleaming flatbed trucks, pragmatically designed for the working man. The first image shows the expansive company plant, complete with a tall, billowing smokestack, and is followed by a selection of novel examples, a few bearing advertising for local companies such as the Heyman Company Home Outfitters and the Henry Smith Floral Co. Some of the images focus solely on pertinent details of the vehicle construction like the driveshaft and engine block. Silver prints, the images measuring approximately 8x10 inches (20.3x25.4 cm.), nearly all linen-backed, a few with typed captions or a photographer's hand stamp on verso. Oblong 4to, black leatherette; twin-bolt binding; 10 prints loose. Circa 1920
