depicting two nudes and a voyeur, spine slightly faded, spine ends and corners a little worn; original wrappers bound in. Paris, 1925 ONE OF 550 NUMBERED COPIES, this copy out-of-series. Below the example number on the justification is written: "Reserve aux aquarelles de L. Mordant." On the title of this unique copy, the original name of the illustrator, Maurice Guy-Loe, has been crossed out and below L. Mordant's name is handwritten. The brightly colored watercolors bear the initials "LM" and the number "46," suggesting that this copy was illustrated some 21 years following the book's publication.
