37/38) text. Numerous color or monochrome lithographed plates by or after BONNARD, BRAQUE, CHAGALL, DERAIN, LEGER, MATISSE, MIRO, PICASSO, and others. Folio, original bindings, front joint of no. 33/34 partially split; morocco bookplates; most in original glassine outer wrappers, boxes and/or slipcases as issued, condition varies, but generally very good; all numbers except the last double issue (37/38) housed in 6 matching morocco-backed cloth slipcases, nos. 37/38 in a different cloth slipcase. Paris and New York, 1937-60 A COMPLETE SET, lacking the separately issued No. 10, which is present in the double issue (with No. 7) Les Tres Riches Heures du Duc de Berry, 1945. The lithographs by Chagall include 8 in no. 27/28, of which 3 in color (one double-page); 30 in no. 33/34 (Bible), of which 18 in color including cover; and 48 in no. 37/38 (Drawings for the Bible), of which 25 in color including the cover.
