- Notes: first american edition. First advertised in the 4 July 1751 Pennsylvania Gazette, Franklin described the work as "a beautiful Piece of Morality." The terminal leaf is a description of two books published by Franklin and Hall. An extremly scarce Franklin imprint. We could locate only the copy in the Curtis Collection at the University of Pennsylvania. Miller 525; Campbell 461; Evans 6660; Sabin 90251 (known only to him by the Curtis copy).
