[WALL PAPER.] Two panels. Circa 1895. Each approximately 74x45in. [Camis, Paris]. Condition varies, generally B-: restored losses in image and restored losses in margins corresponding to tack-holes. Part of a series of wall decorations produced by the Imprimerie Camis who employed several of their arti st s in addition to Mucha to workon the project. These two scenes, in predominantly brown and green, show, firstly, a fisherwoman with a red basket displaying her catch to t wo fishermen, and, secondly, a happy hunter titillating two farmgirls with his pheasant. Although not in the Art Nouveau style for which Mucha was famous, these rare, undocumented panels are examples of how Mucha's work infiltrated many aspects of everyday life. Not inRennert/Weill.
