WALTER-BOLAND ASSOCIATES PHILIPPINE AIR LINES. Circa 1949.
39x25 1/2 inches. Schwabacher-Frey Co.
Condition A-: creases in margins and image; repaired minor tears in margins; minor restored losses in top left margin.
Philippine Airlines made its first regular flight in March of 1941. The airline stopped service from 1942-1946 due to World War II, but resumed when the war was over. The DC-6 was the first pressurized aircraft that Douglas produced, and this handsome image shows how the airline had routes that truly did link 5 continents.
All items are offered for sale subject to Swann Galleries' standard terms and conditions of sale, which are published in our catalogues and are posted below.
