Autograph Letter Signed, "Geo Walton," to former GA Governor Edward Telfair, explaining that he had been suffering from gout but that his health has been restored, congratulating Telfair on his health, remarking that "Waddell" [Moses Waddel?] has not yet accepted the rectorship of the Academy of Richmond, and stating that there is no news from Dr. Jones. 1 page, small 4to, integral address leaf; letter and address leaf both inlaid in same sheet, folds. Louisville, 10 March 1802

". . . I have the satisfaction of congratulating you on your recovery; I can add that my own health is entirely restored: so that I feel no doubt of going effectually through the business of the Circuit [Court].
"The Trustees of Richmond have appointed Mr. Waddell Rector of their Academy: but he has not yet signified his acceptance: 'though I presume it will be the case. . . ."
