Large 8vo, original publisher's blindstamped pictorial brown cloth; a few charts have small color patches loose (easily reglued); very lightly rubbed at spine extremities with no loss of cloth. (Iowa City, Iowa), 1949 E250/350 FIRST EDITION. Author charts different hues of skin and eyes of "colored peoples," suggesting the proper dress to complement them. Charts comprise .5 x 1.5 -inch swatches to first find one's coloring and then refer to an accompanying swatch for appropriate dress. Preceded by 19-page introduction; 50-page conclusion at end. Not in Schomburg or Blockson Collections.
