  • Notes: Darius Kinsey (1869-1945) was the most important photographer of the early lumber industry in the northwest. He opened his Seattle studio in 1906. Two of the images in this lot depict loggers posing in the cuts of old-growth redwoods; another shows horse-drawn carts hauling lumber along a river bank; and the fourth shows logging operations at the end of a Tacoma Eastern rail line.
