WATCH BOX. The spectator places his watch into the box, locks it with a key, and retains the key. A spring mechanism on the side of the box allows the magician to secretly open the box from the side and palm the watch. The box is then reopened and is found to be empty. The magician then mysteriously produces the missing watch. 2 1/2x4 1/2x3 inches (6.5x11.5x7.5 cm). Possibly made by voisin. France, circa 1870.
