A program of the National Wildlife Federation, National Wildlife Week began in 1938 as a way to focus American attention on the natural world, to learn about conservation issues and to care about preserving the continued existence of American wildlife and their natural habitats. These Bighorn Sheep once roamed freely throughout the American northwest, but as the text indicates, their numbers are "going, going, going."
