WENIGER LARM. 1960.

50 1/4x35 1/4 inches. J. Muller-Brockmann, Zurich.
Condition A-: minor paper loss, tears and creases in margins. Paper.
In the same style, Joseph Muller-Brockmann designed another super-powerful image for a different public campaign launched by the Swiss Committee to Combat Noise. Employing a close-up black and white photograph, in which the hard, right angle formed by the red text and the woman's arms, holding her ears, sets up a dissonance which accentuates the anguish on her face, Brockman has created a very strong image.
