  • Notes: Advertises the Independence Day festivities at Emmett, a small town north of Boise, including performances by the Nampa Post Bugle and Drum Corps, a "Mid-Night Frolic," a circus, a semi-pro baseball game between the Emmett and Boise nines, novelty races, a parade with floats, and of course fireworks.

    The verso has a contemporary pencil invitation: "Program of the big event at Emmett. Everybody welcome, bring plenty of cheer and a good appetite--ordered black cherries, pop, post'o, and other delicacies. Dad & Mom."

    Charles L. Gamage is named as mayor of Emmett; he served from about 1926 to 1930. The Boise baseball team played in Emmett on Independence Day in 1927.
