  • Notes: Weston wrote in his Daybooks about photographing vegetables on a number of different occasions. In 1930, "A celery heart becomes heroic--a new field is opening to me--on the horizon I see a microscope!" A year later he noted, "Another vulva found in my halved artichoke--and very farfetched the likeness."
