Condition A. Paper. Signed by Low in pencil.
Low studied art in Paris for 4 years in the 1870s before returning to his native New York, where he joined the Society of American Artists and the National Academy of Design. He is most famous for his murals (including the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York, and the Essex County Court House in Newark, New Jersey) and he also worked for the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing in the 1890s, creating numerous designs for currency.
