- Notes: with--An Autograph Letter Signed by Emily C. Smith, presumably Annie Fellows Johnston's daughter, to Beatrice S. Puder (the daughter of Isabella Sayre), identifying the real Mom Beck as Rebecca Porter, "She Originally belonged to my Grandmother, a dear old colored woman we called Mom Beck... She was put into The Little Colonel stories as Mom Beck." Also with drafts of two letters written by Puder to Smith, on the same subject. with a photograph of mom beck, an early silver copy print of the original that was inscribed by Johnston, which according to the letters was returned to Smith.
