  • Notes: extra-illustrated with the addition of original watercolor sketches, including two by Kyd and two by F. W. Pailthorpe; two suites of etchings each by Pailthorpe and Onwhyn, one of each suite hand-colored. Extra plates by R. W. Buss include two facsimiles of an unpublished plate, a facsimile of a drawing for the title, and two etched plates; Sam Weller-related material includes the four Addresses to parts 2, 3, 10, and 15, a colored engraving of him by Pailthorpe, and the pamphlet "On the Origin of Sam Weller" with the colored portrait after Cruikshank, and numerous other related Dickensiana.
