Paris Peace Conference ending World War I

Group of 4 Photographs Signed, most additionally signed by important attendees of the Paris Peace Conference,

one additionally inscribed to journalist John Edwin Nevin, Washington correspondent for The Chattanooga News, who accompanied Wilson during the Conference and who collected this group. Each inscribed in the blank lower margin below the image, each near the relevant portrait.

The first, full-length group portrait, photogravure showing the "Big Four" seated in a row signed by each: Vittorio Orlando ("V.E. Orlando"), David Lloyd George ("D Lloyd George"), Georges Clemenceau ("GClemenceau") and Wilson. 12x12 inches; faint scattered foxing, 

The second, half-length double portrait by the U.S. Army Signal Corps, photogravure showing Wilson with Raymond Poincaré seated in a carriage [in December, 1918], additionally signed by the French President ("Poincaré "). 14½x11¼ inches; toning along edges, photographer's imprint in the image at lower left.

The third, "To John E. Nevin, a true friend and a true / lover of his country, with the affectionate regard / of Woodrow Wilson," half-length portrait by Harris & Ewing, gelatin silver print showing Wilson in ¾ view. 13x8¾ inches; some silvering along lower edge, photographer's blind stamp in the image at lower left.

The fourth, full-length group portrait by the U.S. Army Signal Corps, showing 23 delegates and other leaders in two rows, the first seated, additionally signed by 17 of them including Vittorio Orlando ("V.E. Orlando"), Robert Cecil, Jan Smuts ("J.C. Smuts"), Makino Nobuaki ("Le Baron Makino"), K.V. Wellington Koo, Edward M. House ("E.M. House"), Roman Dmowski, and others. 17¼x16 inches; chipping at edges, faint scattered foxing, photographer's imprint in the image at lower left.
