(Amsterdam 1744-1831 Haarlem) The Expulsion of Hagar and Ishmael. Brush and brown ink and wash on cream laid paper. 178x240 mm; 7x91/2 inches. Ex-collection Carl Rolas du Rosey (Lugt 2237, lower left recto). Hendriks was an artist, who often imitated Dutch 17th-century genre paintings in his work, as well as the custodian of the Teylers Foundation (now the Teylers Museum) in Haarlem from 1786-1819.
