- Notes: scarce signed photograph of the western outlaw. It seems likely that this photograph was signed by Younger during the brief period after his release from prison when he toured with Frank James in a Wild West Show. William Alson Bell, to whom the photograph is inscribed, owned and operated one of the largest show printing companies in the West (Bell Show Printing based in Sigourney, Iowa) and likely produced promotional materials for the Younger-James show. Besides Younger, Bell was closely associated with Buffalo Bill, Jack Crawford and Pawnee Bill.
