Kurt Vonnegut was an American writer and humorist known for his satirical and darkly humorous novels, including Slaughterhouse-Five. Ray Bradbury was a famous American writer of science fiction, and most notably the author of The Martian Chronicles and Fahrenheit 451.

The two writers were photographed by Karsh together in 1990 as they were promoting works at the same time: The Ray Bradbury Theater, an anthology series scripted by the science-fiction writer, and Monkey House, a series focusing on stories from Vonnegut's collection Welcome to the Monkey House. • Condition: Gallery label back frame.
    mat surface.
In raking light, scattered surface inconsistencies (glass broke certainly) of white tiny specs of emulsion loss

The most visible = diagonal linear impression crossing from left quadrant from forearm to left cheeck.

Another much shorter linear rubbed inconsistency (above white hair). This one remains discreet even in raking light.

Both remain unobtrusive and not visible under normal viewing condition.

A few mor linear specs of retouching scattered on the surface. Hardly noticeable under normal viewing condition

The tiny specs of emulsion loss, while visible, do not disrupt the powerful composition.
