    Lot 41: William Glackens, The Beach, Isle Adam, oil on canvas, 1925-26. Sold for $581,000.






    This annual sale of original works was led by William Glackens's The Beach, Isle Adam, 1925-26. The bright canvas, depicting bathers at a popular locale outside of Paris, is one of the artist's most significant works from the mid-1920s. Other early twentieth-century landscapes included several  watercolors by Charles Burchfield and John Marin.  







    Right, Lot 2: Winslow Homer's personal copy of The Laws of Contrast of Colour by Chevreul, with portrait of Charles Savage Homer, 1860. Sold for $20,0000.

    Lot 101: Charles Burchfield, Untitled (House on a Hill), watercolor and pencil, 1917. Sold for $30,000.




    Lot 173: Milton Avery, Lakeside Trees, watercolor, 1953. Sold for $65,000. 



    Also available were city scenes and seascapes by Abraham Walkowitz, a rare sculpture by William Zorach and works by Will Barnet, Frank W. Benson, Miguel Covarrubias and Winslow Homer.




    Lot 92: John Marin, Small Point, Maine, from the Bumper, watercolor, 1928. Sold for $50,000. 




    Lot 161: Florence Elliott (White) McClung, On the Porch, oil on board. Sold for $21,250.
