The

Deutschland

was the first four-funnel vessel built for the Hamburg-America Line. She served in

a transatlantic capacity from 1900, when she was launched, until 1910 when she was taken off that

route and dedicated as a cruise ship.

The steamship

Le Ville d’Annecy,

depicted here, was launched on June 7, 1900. She could carry 450

passengers. A later version of the poster has its title within the image as opposed to in the margins,
