by Braque and Villon and numbered 28/200
in pencil, lower margin. Etched by Jacques
Villon. Published by Galerie Bernheim-Jeune,
Paris. A very good impression.
Villon (1875-1963), the talented older brother
of Marcel Duchamp (see lot 488) worked
with Braque, Picasso and Matisse (see lot 469),
creating exquisite color aquatints based on
some of their earlier, seminal paintings.
