[800/1,200]
A wonderful pictorial record of Chicago’s 1944 Civic Pride Business Parade. A series of photos
of elaborate floats that includes: The Madame C. J. Walker College, New Club De Lisa
(famous nightclub) , the Civil Liberties Fezz (sic) Club, Social Security, Joe’s Chicken Shack,
The Savoy (another night club), Coppin A. M.E., Rose Bud Club, and Effie’s Barbecue.
Curiously enough, we could find no record of this parade or the organization behind it.
