. . . I have to observe that I do not know exactly the Situation of my claims to the ferry across the
Wabash. My late Son Symmes always gave me to understand that he had secured the ferry to me and
had reserved a lot on the river for that purpose. . . . I authorize . . . either of you to make any adjust-
ment with Davis . . . . I do not wish to sell that lot. On the other side of this sheet you will see a
letter of Administration to Mrs. C.B. Harrison and myself of my late sons estate. Be please to get [it]
recorded & as my agents . . . take possession of the property . . . .”
