decorations, including folding double-page depiction of immense banquet table. [4], 116

volume, worming in upper outer corners without text or image loss, scattered stains

slightly affecting a few plates, old signatures on title, repaired clean tear in Q1, double-page

plate separated at folds and mounted.

of a work originally published the year before in Italian. Wright

(1617-94) was a painter who accompanied the Earl of Castlemaine’s diplomatic mission to

Rome, overseeing the Earl’s elaborate procession to an audience with the Pope and the lavish ban-
